Hamlet is a very introspective character. He is more of a poet and writer than a fighter. He cares deeply for his father, mother, and his girlfriend Ophelia. Hamlet does not understand why his mother would marry his uncle so soon after King Hamlet's death. He feels that his mother is betraying his father and I think he suspects his mother may have had something to do with his father's death. Hamlet may also have some mixed feelings about his mother's marriage to his Uncle because he cares for his mother intimately. When his father appears in the form of a ghost Hamlet is nervous because he does not know what to do in his situation. He is not absolutely sure that Claudius and Gertrude actually killed his father and wants to find out.
