A clone is an organism derived asexually from a single individual by cuttings, bulbs, tubers, fission, or reproduction from an unfertilized ovum, seed or spore ("Cloning", 1997). Biologically speaking, cloning is the production of a genetically identical duplicate of an organism. I believe that cloning is ethical in the sense that its benefits far outweigh the negative qualities. In order to understand the benefits of cloning, an elaboration on the ethics and reasons for researching the technology of cloning is necessary.
