The definition of the word euthanasia has changed throughout the years, depending on who was attempting to define it and the culture from where it was being defined. It originated from the early Greek word euthanatos, which meant "good death" or "easy death". At that point in time, euthanasia was considered allowable when situations of incurable diseases arose.
